2020-2021 School Opening Updates

2020-2021 School Opening Updates

Dear CKPK Families,

Most of you are aware that the Coweta School Board met last Thursday and made changes to their restart plan. Cornerstone Kids has made the decision to open for face-to-face classes on Wednesday, September 9th.  We are excited and confident that we have a great reopening plan for school.

Please be aware of these conditions:

  • If Coweta County moves to a RED risk level, according to the Harvard Global Health Institute’s Covid Risk Levels (www.globalepidemics.org), we would close until deemed safe to reopen.
  • If we do close due to the RED risk level, only the kindergarten class will go virtual.
  • In the event of a school closure due to inclement weather, natural disaster, pandemic, etc., tuition will not be refunded if less than ten school days.  If a closure is over ten school days, a prorated credit or refund will be issued.

With the current trend of rising cases of Covid-19, we must be flexible and recognize the possibility that our plans may change for the safety and well-being for our CKPK Families and community.  We can work together to make a difference by practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and proper hand-washing.

Please look for more information about Meet the Teacher and the first day of school coming soon.  We will be communicating via email and our new website.

We respect and understand that you have to make the best decision for your family.  If you choose to withdraw your child, we ask that you please send an email by Wednesday, August 12th , 2020.  Registration fees are non-refundable as this fee secures your child’s placement in our program.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Always remember…. God is good, all the time.

A new Covid-19 Parent Handbook has been written to establish the new temporary procedures designed to provide a program where your children can safely learn and play. We will start off our year with these modifications, but our hope is that we can quickly resume our normal program.

The Covid-19 Parent Handbook contains detailed descriptions of the program changes designed to provide the safest environment for your children. Please read this carefully. We will provide updates to our new webpage through email and remind.com messages.
